Mild and Dry Today | Rain and Isolated T-storms Tuesday-Wednesday | Unsettled Weather into Weekend

Periods of moderate rainfall expected across the lower deserts Tuesday-Wednesday.

Potential for excessive rainfall and localized flooding across the higher terrain of Maricopa, La Paz, and Gila Counties Tuesday and Wednesday.

Isolated/embedded thunderstorms could develop Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday, bringing the risk for lightning and locally heavier rainfall.

Additional light showers possible through the remainder of the week.

CHANGES FROM PREVIOUS BRIEFING

  • A Flood Watch has been issued for locations along the Lower Colorado River Valley, Yuma County, and La Paz County late Tuesday morning through Tuesday evening
  • A Flood Watch has been issued for northern Maricopa County, Southern Gila County, and along high terrain in northern Pinal County Tuesday evening through Wednesday
  • Upgraded to a Minor risk for excessive rainfall and minor flooding for Southeast California, particularly for locations along/near Lower Colorado River Valley
