The Yuma County Office of Emergency Management today announced that Yuma County and the City of Yuma have partnered with Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs to launch a Free Testing Blitz with the goal of increasing COVID-19 testing in Yuma County. The Free Testing Blitz aims to test up to 10,000 Yuma County/City residents (this includes Somerton, San Luis, Wellton, Dateland as well as Cocopah & Quechan Tribes) for COVID-19 beginning 6:30 am – 12:30 pm, August 11 – 15. The event will take place at the Yuma Civic & Convention Center (parking lot), 1440 W Desert Hills Dr, Yuma.

ANYONE can be tested, but it is highly recommended that anyone exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms (fever, cough, difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat and new loss of taste or smell) and individuals that feel they have been exposed to COVID-19 be tested.
