The Yuma County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) will partner with Arizona State University to offer a free Saliva Testing Event, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 30th at Desert View Academy, 3777 W. 16th Street, Yuma.
This is a saliva test for COVID-19 detection, NOT to be confused with a vaccination event. Participants must preregister online and when they arrive at the site they will provide a saliva sample from the comfort of their vehicle.
This test helps health officials achieve two goals: 1) to provide testing for all citizens that is simple and easy to use AND is non-invasive, and 2) to get a snapshot of the current infection rate in Yuma County. Health Officials are asking everyone to get tested regardless of how they physically feel. By doing so all of Yuma County will be doing their part to help protect our kids and our community.
The event is made possible thanks to a partnership between ASU and Yuma County and is supported by the Arizona National Guard, Arizona Western College Nursing Program and Yuma County Public Works.
The tests, which take 24-48 hours to deliver results, will be used to test as many Yuma County residents as possible regardless of how they feel, and is FREE OF CHARGE. PLEASE read ALL details/instructions:
